The effect as the spectators see it.
The magician asks a spectator to clear his mind of all thoughts in order to make his mind a blank slate. You then request that the spectator bring back only one thought in his mind … the name of one playing card. The spectator has an absolute free choice … let's say they select the seven of hearts. You ask the spectator to name the card that he has thought of. You advise the spectator that you will not only remove his seven of hearts but the three other sevens as well .. You place the deck face face down on the table as you request the spectator to take the four of a kind you have removed and to point to the card that they feel is theirs, without looking at their faces. You immediately show that the other three are blank. You then turn over the top two cards of the deck showing that the "jokers" are blank. You then turn over the next four cards showing the "aces" to be blank. You then toss out the remaining cards face up in a flurry of blank cards .. A virtual blizzard of white face cards. Only one card remains face down .. They are asked to turn it over to reveal the one card that they freely named, the seven of hearts in our example. The remaining cards lay scattered over the table creating a blizzard of white blank face cards, of which everything can be freely examined. Trust me .. Your audience will be devastated!
